    LITHIUM VERSION

    The Lithium (UTV-SBI-19L) version is designed specifically to function with the new 13+ volt Lithium batteries and stator type charging mechanisms. At least one of your batteries should be Lithium to benefit from the products unique PEP.

    Lithium batteries are a different type of battery with advanced attributes that require unique management programming to maintain those attributes. The lithium batteries available for this industry are NOT 12 volt batteries but rather 13+ volt batteries and need an isolator programmed to deal with this and other attributes that may not be so obvious.

    You're on your own but the product works

    First off, I have the product installed and it works as it's supposed to. The negatives are the wiring instructions were not at all clear to me, TrueAM didn't (still hasn't) responded to my questions) and only the information available from others who had similar questions saved the installation. The relay has an extra switched ground for another device but that is not clear from the printed or on-line instructions and I still don't understand the "remote crank disconnect" feature (didn't use it). The pigtails for the relay could have been a couple of feet instead of a foot or so requiring a splice. Some extra red heat shrink terminal connectors would have been nice since the 1/4" size in an 18-22ga wire size are like unicorns in the local automotive and hardware stores. The portion that actually engages the wire is very narrow making a good secure crimp difficult.

    I want to answer a few questions.
    The extra ground is there for use if needed, Its considered 'extra' and should of been marked as sucn in the instructions. It can just be taped off and not used. It does have it's usefulness where you could wire the isolator to fuction key-on only if you liked by connecting the black wire to it. Or for an accessory that requies a negative triggered source.
    The disconnect is not used. What it does is disconnect the 2 batteries upon crank. This immidetly stops the crank side from placing a load spike on the secondary side during high draw cranking. For many UTV's thats not relivent. But if you have a more sensitive secondary side it might be something to consider.

    Great idea

    That was a good idea to come up with a complete wording kit to add an acc. battery, I’m still working on my install. Maybe you can answer a question for me, where do the 2 blue wires on the bolt meter relay go

    The 2 wire blue wires are the voltage sence wires.
    They go to the volt meter and to the left and right side of the isolator.
